Synopsis
This second novel begins in 1940, immediately after the first book ended. Having escaped Miss Peregrine’s island by the skin of their teeth, Jacob and his new friends must journey to London, the peculiar capital of the world. Along the way, they encounter new allies, a menagerie of peculiar animals, and other unexpected surprises.

Complete with dozens of newly discovered (and thoroughly mesmerizing) vintage photographs, this new adventure will delight readers of all ages.

What I thought
Hollow City is the second book in the young adult contemporary fantasy series Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children. This story begins in 1940 immediately after the first book ends. Jacob and his new friends must now leave the island and journey to London before their enemies catch them.

This was a good follow up to the first book. There is definitely more action, and the pace if much faster in this book as they fight off their enemies. Being the second book in a series it is a little hard to say much without spoiling anything from the first book.  So I will say that if you enjoyed the first book you should continue on with this next installment.
