Synopsis
When Nowhere Is Safe

Most people avoid the dreaded Whitechapel district. For Honoria Todd, it’s the last safe haven. But at what price?

Blade is known as the master of the rookeries—no one dares cross him. It’s been said he faced down the Echelon’s army single-handedly, that ever since being infected by the blood-craving he’s been quicker, stronger, and almost immortal.

When Honoria shows up at his door, his tenuous control comes close to snapping. She’s so…innocent. He doesn’t see her backbone of steel—or that she could be the very salvation he’s been seeking.

What I thought
Okay so let me start by saying that I do not usually pick up Paranormal Romance books. To be honest I don’t think I have ever read one before its just not something that I have ever felt drawn to.  When I started this review I thought the Sookie Stackhouse series would count but apparently after looking into it, they do not, they fall under fantasy/mystery go figure.

There was a blog tour for To Catch A Rogue (book 4) last October/November and I was sold on the idea of a Steampunk Paranormal Romance and the synopsis really piqued my interest. As I read some reviews it really sounded good to me so much so that I ordered the first book to give it a try. Let me tell you this did not disappoint, by the time I hit 150 pages I knew I needed the next book. So I ordered it and now I can not wait to pick it up.

Let me start with the setting. This world is based on Victorian London but with many changes. I love how she took this world and made it her own. In this world, you have blue bloods, which are loosely based on vampires since in this world Vampires are much worse. The steampunk elements are woven into this story very nicely and it is done so well that I felt like I could give this book to others even if they are not familiar with steampunk.

Honoria was a wonderful character I liked her from the beginning and I can’t wait to see what happens with her and her family in the upcoming books. Blade was the perfect brooding hero of the story.

I can’t wait to pick up the next book!

My Rating: /54.5 stars
