What is your favorite thing about reading?
My favorite thing about reading is that it allows me to escape this world for another. This allows me to relax and better deal with stress in my day to day life.
Which male character is your favorite?
I have to say I really like Thomas Cresswell from the Stalking Jack the Ripper series by Kerri Maniscalco.
Which female character is your favorite?
This one was much easier to come up with. Alexia Tarabotti from the Parasol Protectorate Series by Gail Carriger. The first book is Soulless and I highly recommend it.
Who is your favorite villain of all time?
Bellatrix Lestrange. She did not become my favorite until I saw Helena Bonham Carter play her.
Who is your least favorite character of all time?
Sorry for the multiple Harry Potter references but I have to pick Dolores Unbrige.
Which book do you think has the strongest plot?
I am not a plot-driven person so I don’t know.
What gets on your nerves the most in a story (a boring character, an unrealistic plot, etc.)?
When the characters begin acting unrealistic or their personalities just completely change.
Which book has the best cover (share a picture!)?
Okay, so I had to pick three. Trust me it was hard to just stick to three.
Suitors and Sabotage by Cindy Anstey
The Strange Case of the Alchemist’s Daughter by Theodora Goss
Unnatural Magic by C.M. Waggoner
Do you let people borrow your books? If so, are you specific about how they treat them?
I only loan them to people that I trust. LOL, I can only think of three people that I have loaned books out to in the past few years.
If a movie could be made based on any book, which book would you choose?
The Strange Case of the Alchemist’s Daughter by Theodora Goss
I would love to see this happen!
Which author has inspired you most?
So I can take this two different ways. 1) motivation/self-help type of books (non-fiction) or 2) an author that has inspired me to tell my own story (fiction).
- Rachel Hollis
- Gail Carriger
What single book would you be unable to live without?
Do I really have to pick only one…Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen
