My Favorite books of 2020

Good Day Everyone!!

I had so many issues making the list of my favorite reads of 2020. There were many cases that I really loved multiple books in series but to keep this list from being really long I only included one book from that series.

I decided to put these books in the order that I read them.

Good Morning!

It’s the start of another week. It’s Monday! What are you Reading is hosted by Kathryn from Book Date, this is a weekly event to share what we’ve read in the past week and what we hope to read, plus whatever else comes to mind.

I took off last week and I read a lot less than I thought I would. This only looks like a lot because there are 4 comics in the mix. As a whole I plan on reading a lot less this year due to wanting to pick up some of the big books on my shelves. I will talk more about that when I do a goals post later this month.

Good Morning.

I decided to start doing book hauls again as a way to help keep myself accountable. The only way that I am going to be able to work on fixing my habits is if I have some kind of checks in place. In the month of December I received 3 books from authors, 2 books as gifts, I grabbed 1 for free, I was approved for 1 on Netgalley, 2 from subscription boxes, 2 were preorders, and I purchased 14.

I took some books and sold them this month so I used that to justify purchasing more than I probably should have.

Larson tells the stories of two men: Daniel H. Burnham, the architect responsible for the fair’s construction, and H.H. Holmes, a serial killer masquerading as a charming doctor.

Burnham’s challenge was immense. In a short period of time, he was forced to overcome the death of his partner and numerous other obstacles to construct the famous “White City” around which the fair was built. His efforts to complete the project, and the fair’s incredible success, are skillfully related along with entertaining appearances by such notables as Buffalo Bill Cody, Susan B.
